Welcome to Café Maison Ronde, affectionately known as the Roundhouse Cafe, a delightful gem nestled along Saint-Catherine St W in the heart of Montreal. This indigenous-run café is much more than just a spot for your caffeine fix; it’s a community hub that encapsulates warmth, tradition, and a profound sense of place.

Step into the cozy embrace of this charming café, characterized by its unique gazebo hut aesthetic. There’s an inviting vibe here that speaks volumes about the rich Indigenous culture it supports. Although service is provided via a friendly take-out window, don’t miss the lovely little patio setup where you can sip your drink while soaking in the surroundings.

Café Maison Ronde is renowned for its exceptional coffee sourced from the esteemed Moccasin Joe. Start your day with the rich flavors of a classic Espresso (CA$2.50) or indulge in a creamy Cappuccino (CA$3.90) that boasts a fine balance of smooth milk and robust coffee. For those who prefer a bit more character, the Macchiato (CA$3.30) or Cortado (CA$3.75) are both excellent choices, serving up a perfect punch of coffee goodness after a long day of exploration.

The food menu adds further allure to your visit. Treat yourself to a warm, delectable bannique – a fluffy bread that can be enjoyed sweet or savory. The Bannique Sucrée with maple syrup, cranberries, and white chocolate (CA$3.75) is an irresistible choice that will transport you to a cozy cabin in the woods, filled with sweetness and nostalgia. If you’re feeling hungry, their hearty Sandwich Totem Pole (CA$11.25), featuring smoked salmon, cream cheese, and fresh herbs on bannique, bursts with flavors that are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

I never realized that this little gazebo hut structure was a coffee shop. And indigenous run! I tried to walk inside but it’s take out only at a window. They have a nice little patio setup on the side. The service was friendly and quick and my latte was superb! Now that I’ve discovered it I will definitely make a stop when I’m down there in the area again.

Cute little place. A little nearby dawson to so that's even better. Will start hanging out there on break during warmer seasons. HIGHLY recommend their cloudberry tea. Would give five stars if they also offered iced coffee

I ordered 50 cheddar and vegetarian Bannocks for an event for Indigenous languages and they did amazing. Within the first hour all 50 were gone and everyone complimented them. Easy pick-up and on time! Thank you Roundhouse:)

It was my first time trying this place and I was in rush as I had to take the bus. So I asked them if they could give me a double double in less than 5 mins as I have to take the bus. The girl serving me not only prepared it in one minute but also gave it for free with extra sugar!!! That was so nice of them. the coffee is strong and tastes good. Not watery like other places at all. Thank you guys and keep up the good work.

Stopped by this place for a late lunch back in July (this is a late review lol) and was really glad that I did. I had been itching to try bannock, but decided to also get la salade maison ronde for something more filling. It was extremely delicious, particularly the dressing and smoked salmon. The bannock was a nice end to my lunch and went well with my coffee. Considering how filling my meal was, I thought the price was very reasonable. The folks were very friendly and they’ve done a nice job setting up seats for the summer. The cafe is in the middle of a park so there’s no dine-in, but there are a few tables and chairs, some of which were inside a shipping container.
